The IDF struck an underground terror tunnel in the Gaza Strip last night, the IDF Spokesperson’s Office announced Monday morning.
The strike came in response to a sirens heard in Sderot near the border of the Gaza Strip and a projectile that was launched into Israeli territory from Gaza. According to reports, one mortar landed in an open area near Sderot.
« The IDF will continue to act to ensure security for the citizens of Israel, by all means at its disposal. Hamas is responsible for everything happening in and out of the Gaza Strip, above and below ground, » the IDF Spokesperson’s Office said in a statement.
