Walla report claims Hamas recently sent a series of messages to Israel indicating interest in a long-term cease-fire lasting several years.
Hamas denied on Monday a report that it had offered Israel a long-term truce in return for ending the blockade on the Gaza Strip.
Bassem Naim, a senior Hamas official, said that the report, which appeared on the Israeli news site Walla, was untrue. He said that Hamas did not discuss the issue of a truce with anyone.
